Event Details - Symphonic Singers and Chamber Choir

The University of Wisconsin-Stout Symphonic Singers and Chamber Choir, conducted by Dr. Jerry Hui and accompanied by pianist Michaela Gifford, will perform their winter concert titled “Silent Night”. The program features mostly music from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany composed during World War I.

The event will be the result of a close collaboration between Stout’s choral program and the Dunn County Historical Society, as well as the Stout University Archives. Both organizations are involved in researching relevant historical materials from Menomonie area — newspaper, event programs, personal letters, photographs and more — some of which will be read during the concert. There will also be a small exhibit during and after the concert, displaying some artifacts from the war.
