Cultural
competence has helped individuals and organizations better serve diverse
clientele. But transforming schools and workplaces to create genuine
inclusivity and organizational effectiveness requires even bigger thinking.
Cultural humility suggests an alternative and complementary framework that is
both immediately useful and potentially transformative.
