America continues to struggle with racial conflict, racial inequality and racist speech. The award winning documentary Accidental Courtesy tells the story of Daryl Davis, an African American musician who befriends members of the Ku Klux Klan and hopes to start a museum with KKK relics they have given them as a testimonial to overcoming racism. Following the documentary, a panel of UW-Stout faculty offer their thoughts about his story. Chris Ferguson (Economics and Director of the UW-Stout Honors College), Amir Mohamed (Communication Studies), Daniel Ruefman (English), and Holly Teuber (Communication Studies). Maria Alm, Dean of the College of Arts, Communication, Humanities and Social Sciences, moderates.
